Boston Sports Partners (BSP) is a full-service sports and entertainment marketing agency that provides customized solutions for its clients. Founded in 2020 by Rob Friedman and Joshua Milne, BSP uses the power of sports and entertainment to “Build Brands, Build Relationships, and Build Business.” BSP has a vast network of industry professionals who join the team as needed, providing support services to any project or program. For example, BSP has partnerships for NFL representation, esports, Health and Wellness, and other sports-focused verticals that build brand awareness and drive sales. With these resources at its fingertips, BSP is well-positioned to use the power of sports to enhance their brand, build relationships, and grow their business.

Robert Friedman – Co-Founder

 

Rob Friedman is a co-founder and CEO of Boston Sports Partners. He has four decades of sales and marketing experience, both on a domestic and international level.

He began his career in sales for John Hancock Financial in 1978 and was promoted to the global headquarters in 1985. There he helped supervise an exclusive management development program and was promoted to Director, International Operations. Rob helped launch John Hancock’s international expansion program and worked closely with the company’s overseas partners.

During his tenure in International Operations, John Hancock became a Worldwide Sponsor of the Olympic Games and Rob assisted in implementing marketing programs globally in support of the exclusive partnership. After ten years in International Operations, Rob was asked to head up the company’s sports marketing portfolio and over the next two-plus decades he both consulted on and managed some of the most prestigious properties in sports sponsorship. These included the Worldwide Olympic Games, Team USA, Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon, USA Gymnastics, Major League Baseball, Champions on Ice Skating Tour, Ryder Cup, US Senior Open, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics.

Joshua Milne – Co-Founder

 

Joshua Milne is a co-founder and COO of Boston Sports Partners. He has worked in the public relations industry for more than 20 years. For the last eight years he has run his own public relations firm called Joshua Milne PR. He is a media relations and social media specialist who has worked for clients in industries including: small business, e-commerce, online retail, B2B technology, sports, sports business, healthcare and design.

Joshua has worked at companies on both the corporate side and the agency side including previously working at Elevate Communications where he supported clients such as FSM, Roush Fenway Racing, Deutsche Bank Championship, Head of the Charles Regatta, the Boston Blazers and Staples Champions Cup. During his tenure there, he developed relationships with sports business press at the national, regional, and local levels. Joshua managed a team that secured 723 articles and 173 interviews for Fenway Sports Management in 2007, their first year working with the sports marketing agency; 440 articles and more than 40 radio and television interviews for the Boston Blazers in their first season in 2008 and more than 200 media placements surrounding Volvo Ocean Race in Boston. Securing media coverage for his clients is his passion.

Before working at Elevate Communications, Joshua was the Sports Marketing Public Relations Specialist at John Hancock Financial Services where he met and worked directly with Rob, and where he managed media activities for corporate-sponsored local, national, and international sports and community relations events with Major League Baseball, the Olympic Games, Boston Marathon, and Champions on Ice.

Anna Boyle

 

Anna Boyle is a 2020 graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Social Media Marketing. Anna is an avid social media user and sports fan. She decided to combine these two interests while studying at UMass. During her senior year she interned with the university’s Division I Athletics Department, where she discovered her passion for sports marketing. Her most memorable moments interning with the Athletics Department was when she was working at the football and hockey games as a content creator. Post graduating, she stepped into the sports industry by securing a social media internship at Boston Sports Partners. As a Boston local, Anna is thrilled for this opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working with professional athletes.

Conor Quinn

 

Conor Quinn is a senior at Ithaca College pursuing a degree in Television-Radio with a minor in Sports Studies. In Conor’s past three years at Ithaca, he has immersed himself in the school’s television station, ICTV, working on a variety of sports shows learning how to produce, direct, and work in a television studio environment. As the Video Production Intern at BSP, Conor is looking to improve his storytelling skills through working with BSP’s expansive list of talent.

Hannah Merritt

 

Hannah Merritt Hannah Merritt is a recent 2020 graduate and current MBA student at Endicott College. She graduated with a degree in Sport Management and minor in Communication. Hannah grew up playing many sports and was a four-year member of the Endicott Women’s soccer team. She has held internship roles with the Hartford Yard Goats as a corporate intern, the Boston Cannons as the Marketing/PR intern, and, most recently, the Boston Bruins as the Boston Bruins Foundation intern. Hannah is excited to add Boston Sports Partners to her list of incredible sport organizations and to build on her digital marketing experience.
